Hello Everyone! Today we’ll be doing another lazy cooking, yeah I’m getting hooked into it.
The potatoes will be using for this recipe are “Delikatesspotatis” they are the small ones from Sweden.
I use to hate this type of potato back when I was new in Swedish ships. I spent a lot of time peeling these potatoes.
Then one day my Swedish Captain told me that I don’t need to peel these type of potatoes, just baked it with the skin on. Voila, done in a snap!
Since then, Delikatesspotatis became my favorite type of potato. What a lazy cook of me! =)
Anyway, as promise from my previous post “Oven Roasted Bacons” we’ll be using again the baking tray with the bacon drippings on it.
Now on with the cooking…
Oven Roasted Potatoes in Bacon Drippings
Prep. time: 5 minutes
Cooking time: 35 minutes
Difficulty: Very Easy
Good for 4 European crew
You will need;
1 kg. potatoes, russet burbank potatoes or delicatesspotatis of Sweden.
Used baking tray from Oven Roasted Bacons.
Preheat the oven at 220’C.
Wash the potatoes in running water and scrub out any soil from the skin.
Cut into half lenghtwise. Transfer potatoes into the baking tray.
Arrange each potatoes cut side down to coat with bacons drippings.
Turn-over the potatoes. Place the baking tray at the lower third rack of the oven.
Baked for 35 minutes or until nicely browned.
Serve warm with your favorite dish.
