Hi there everyone!!! Today we’ll be roasting bacons inside the oven.
This might not be very economical to use at home specially if you’re just cooking for a small family.
But onboard I find it very easy to cook bacons this way. Big thanks to my fellow cook onboard Chef Jerome Corsega for giving me this idea.
Now on with the cooking…
Oven Roasted Bacons
Prep. time: 5 minutes
Cooking time: 10 minutes
Oven temp.: 280’C
Difficulty: Very Easy
Good for 12 crew for breakfast served with fried eggs and baked beans
You will need;
750 grms. bacons
Large rimmed baking tray
Parchment paper or baking paper
Pre-heat the oven to 280’C. Onboard I use both the top and bottom heating and place the tray at the lower third rack.
Line the baking tray with aluminum foil and parchment paper.
Place the bacon on the tray in a single layer.
Bake in the oven for 10 minutes or until nicely browned.
Enjoy your meal !!! 😉
Here’s how I do it;
Don’t throw the used parchment paper and aluminum tray on the tray. We’ll use the bacon drippings on it to make Oven Roasted Potatoes in Bacon Drippings.
Tips from a Cookonboard : I highly recommend you to line your roasting tray withaluminum foil and parchment paper. This will save your time, effort and above all, fresh water onboard. Specially if you are working on a small vessel that doesn’t have a fresh water generator.
Thanks alot for spending your precious time on my blog and hope this recipe encourage you to try baking some Oven Roasted Bacons.
