It is worth considering the nutritional value of the bean sprouts. It is high in fiber which is critical to weight loss, and I know that single reason is enough for you to consider this healthy dish.
But there is a lot more, bean sprouts are alkalizing to your body. So much illnesses including cancer have been linked to excess acidity in our body. It also helps extracting more vitamins and minerals in the food we eat.
And above all, it’s so yummy and refreshing!

Stir Fried Crunchy Bean Sprouts
Prep. time: 5 minutes
Cooking time: 8 minutes
Difficulty: Very Easy
Good as a side dish for 12 crew
You will need;
500 grms. bean sprouts
2 Tbsp. olive oil
3 cloves garlic, thinly sliced
1 thumbsized ginger, jullienne
100 grms. onion, thinly sliced
1 stalk 50 grms. celery, thinly sliced
1 med. (100 grms.) carrots, thinly sliced flowerette
500 grms. zucchini, thinly sliced
1/2 cup soup stock or water.
2 Tbsp. oyster sauce
2 Tbsp. maggi/knorr liquid seasoning
2 Tbsp. sesame oil
salt and freshly grounded black pepper to taste
1 tsp. sesame seed
4 Tbsp. freshly chopped spring onions
Heat cooking oil in a large pan on very high heat. Saute garlic and ginger until fragrant.
Add the onion,celery and carrots. Stir for a minute. Add the zucchini and 1/2 cup soup stock or water, cover for a couple of minutes. Add the oyster sauce and liquid seasoning.
Add the bean sprouts, stir fry for 3 minutes. Season with salt and freshly ground black pepper. Drizzle with sesame oil.
Garnish with sesame seeds and spring onions.
