It all started when Ms.Jackie of CNN Philippines message me thru facebook about a story that they need for a Lenten Season presentation.

Honestly, at first I don’t believe her. I thought this is just another prank chat who is just looking for someone to make fun of.

So I just play along and tell her that she can come and visit me onboard, which is almost impossible for her to do because I’m in scandinavia and she’s in the Philippines. Then she ask me when I’m going back, luckily I was set to go home in few days. Then I agreed we can meet when I got home.

Fortunately, I was wrong! She’s a real writer of CNN Philippines.

So we agreed to meet one afternoon to a have an interview about our Family saint Sto.Tomas the 7th Apostle. I really thought I was giving Ms.Jackie a favor to get their assignment done. But as I told my family about the coming interview and the questions that can be asked during the interview, I find out a lot of things about my Lola Tindeng.

My Lola Tindeng bought the statue of Sto Tomas more than 30 years ago. My Lola Tindeng was a member of a religious group and she was assigned to take care of Sto.Tomas because they have something in similar. Just like Sto.Tomas who don’t believe his fellow apostles that Jesus Christ is alive unless he touches Jesus wounds from the crucifixion, my Lola Tindeng also don’t believe in anything unless she sees it with her own eyes.

Now I know where I got those Tomasian characteristic of mine. Thats why the way I post my recipe is always with a step by step photo procedure. Well to see is to believe, hah?
Here’s the Behind The Scene of the interview;

The actual interview takes a few hours to finish and last just a few minutes on television. Now I don’t wonder why a two hours movie took several months to complete.

And here’s the fun part, watching the interview on national television;

“All I can say is that I thought it was very easy talking in front of a camera.

I salute those people who can stay calm while doing a live interview.”
