Sto. Niño Festival in the city of Biñan

Every year on the 3rd sunday of January we Biñanense celebrate the feast of the Holy Child Jesus Christ “Fiesta ng Santo Niño”.

And I must say, among the other barangay in the city of Biñan we from Barangay San Antonio de Padua celebrate it like a big festival for the most iconic image of the Holy Child Jesus Christ.

Every house and business establishment in the city of Biñan have at least one image or statue of Sto.Niño, and once a year they all go out in the streets to dance with their Sto.Niño in loud music, and we Biñanense knows how to party in style. You should come and see it for yourself.

This is just our simple way of saying “Thank you po, Señor Sto.Niño for all our answered prayers!”

Jerico pulling the Karo of our Sto. Niño.

30 years ago, when I was the same age as my son Jerico. I also have a picture in my mind, pulling the same Karo when my Lola Tindeng started to be a Camarero of Sto. Tomas.

Let the Festival begin…

My wife is a Sto. Niño devotee, she started joining the festival just few years ago. Thanks for her initiative, more and more of our relatives and friends are coming each year to celebrate.

Thanks alot for spending your precious time on my blog and hope to see you next time on the streets of Biñan to enjoy the Sto.Niño Festival.
