Fried Breaded Plaice fish is something I learn from the Swedes. It was introduced to me by a Swedish Chef, they call it “Rödspeta” in Sweden. I never knew that it taste so good and juicy. And most of all, its so easy to prepare and it cooks quickly too.
I want to say a lot about this fish but I’m also concerned with our internet connection onboard. “It’s like a full moon, sometimes its there but most of the time its hiding!”
So, let’s go to the galley and start cooking before the connection cuts off.
Now on with the cooking…
Fried Breaded Plaice
Prep. time: 5 minutes
Cooking time: 12 minutes
Difficulty: Very Easy
Good for 12 crew
You will need;
4 pcs. ( 500grms./each) plaice fish (If using frozen product, thaw it inside the vegs.room/fridge at 4’C overnight.)
1 cup #Breadin mix
4 Tbsp. cooking oil
4 Tbsp. unsalted butter
fresh slices of lemon wedges
Clean plaice fish and cut into serving pieces.
Tranfer on a tray with #Breadin mix, add more to cover the fish.
Heat cooking oil and unsalted butter on a large pan.
Pan fry on medium high heat for 6 minutes on each side or until browned.
Serve with fresh slices of lemon wedges.
