Brocolli and Carrots Stir Fry

This vegetables dish is so easy to prefer but yet so healthy.
We Filipinos like to have garlics in every dish that we prefer.
I personally like to saute it until golden brown and you can already smell the nice aroma of it.
I like the nutty after taste of the brocolli and the natural sweetness of the carrots.
And for the finale, I add sesame seeds and sesame oil to give a Korean touch.
On recent years, we have fall in love in everything that is Korean. From Kimchi to KoreaNovelas.
So here’s something that I’m pretty sure that is not just good for your tummy but also to your healthy hearts.

Brocolli and Carrots Stir Fry

Prep. time: 5 minutes

Cooking time: 10 minutes

Difficulty: Very Easy

Good for 12 crew

You will need;

1 kg. brocolli, peel and slice the hard part of the stem, keep it separate from the soft flowerette part.

200 grms. carrot, jullienned

8 cloves garlic, sliced

2 Tbsp. olive oil

1/2 cup soup stock or water

2 Tbsp. sesame seed

2 Tbsp. sesame oil

1 tsp. sugar

Salt and freshly ground black peppers to taste

Direction;

Heat olive oil on a large cooking pot. Add the sliced garlic, saute until fragrant and golden brown.

Add the hard part of the brocolli and stir it for a minute.

Add the carrots and stir it for a minute. Add the remaining brocolli and stir generously.

Add the sugar and pour in the soup stock. Cover cooking pot and let it cook for 5 minutes.

Season with sea salt and freshly ground black pepper to taste.

Sprinkle with sesame seeds and drizzle with sesame oil.

Serve and enjoy it with Hot Steamed Rice, Korean Kimchi and Roasted Pork Belly on Lemongrass.
