For the past few weeks I’ve been busy Procrastinating, I’m not so proud of it but I love it!!! 😉
I’m just being a good follower to the advice of my colleagues onboard, they ask me to enjoy my well deserved vacation. And so I did, I enjoy my time with my family. Living life without rush and pressure.
And this past weekend I ask my wife and kids to enjoy a Free Spa at home, since I’m a big ground coffee fanatic I’ve been saving the used ground coffee for this purpose. My wife and I got this idea from Ms. Angel Aquino, a fashion model and FAMAS and Gawad Urian Award-nominated Filipino film and television actress. More than a year ago we watch her TV interview from “KRIS TV”, a local talk show here in the Philippines hosted by Ms. Kris Aquino. On her interview, Ms. Angel Aquino told “KRIS TV” that rubbing used ground coffee to her face and skin is one of her beauty secrets.
You will need a ground coffee of your choice. If you’re not a coffee drinker, then you need to have a friend or ask somebody working in a coffee shop to give you some used ground coffee. I think this will not be a problem, since they just throw it away after each use.
Or if you have a coffeemaker, you can save the used ground coffee from your coffeemaker’s filter. Keep in mind to let it cool a bit before rubbing it to your skin. You can even save it in a sealed container inside your fridge for future use. Keep it warm a bit to enjoy rubbing it to your face and skin.
But If you really want to enjoy the best taste of your ground coffee, try this simple way that I learn from my Polish 3/officer Andej Modro. I’ve been drinking my coffee this way since I learn it.
Coffee grounds are a natural exfoliator. Exfoliation is the removal of dead, dry skin cells that collect on the outer surface of the skin. The coffee buffs these unwanted cells off and speeds up our own skins natural renewal process, producing healthy glowing skin. Also, coffee’s natural caffein content is used as a topical treatment for cellulite, as it dilates blood vessels which increases speed and volume of blood flow. Which, in theory, helps remove excess water from our tissue, thus improving the skins appearance and tone, according to the University of Sao Paulo (2008 study). They say the best things in life are free, so instead of throwing my used ground coffee
I enjoy a day with my family without spending a penny…
And there’s more… My wife’s nephew and her daughter also join the fun!!!
You can keep the ground coffee on your skin for 5 to 10 minutes before rinsing with water.
Then you can take a normal bath or if the weather is on your side, you might wanna
continue the fun under the rain. But for my kids, all they need is creativity to make a rain. =)
Thanks alot for spending your precious time on my blog and hope this post encourage you
to enjoy the best things in life for free!!!
You will be happy with the amazing feeling after you try this one…
Big thanks to Mr. Ron Cruz of http://ronskigfx.com/ for the Photo shoot concept that I copy from his Facebook post “Bathroom Mug Shot Series”. I’m a big fan of his work!!!
FYI: World’s 10 best cities for coffee!
Melbourne is Australia’s coffee capital, and we suspect it’s vying for the world title as well. It may be a long way to travel for a cup of coffee, but with more and more people calling Melbourne’s coffee the best, it’s also an unbeatable way to fight jet lag. A proud history of independent cafes and innovative brewing techniques makes it worth the journey. -USA TODAY
And for most of us who really treat making coffee as an art, I recommend you to visit and make an enquiry about Barista Coffee Making Course @ http://www.chtmelbourne.com.au/
